R.Ac | Doctor of Acupuncture

I am a dedicated practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine who focuses on improving patients’ quality of life through traditional and modern healing modalities. When the body is experiencing pain and restriction in movement, I use a combination of techniques and therapies to reduce symptoms and enable improved movement and healing.

As a Biological Science graduate of Stellenbosch University, South Africa, being treated with Acupuncture changed the ways I viewed medicine and healing. Experiencing the alleviation of pain through acupuncture treatments sparked a profound curiosity about the complex interplay of life. Recognizing the interconnectedness of physiology, the mind, perception, social, physical environment and spirituality I have embraced a holistic approach to treatment.

Following graduation at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I travelled to China for an observational internship at Mianyang TCM hospital Sichuan Province, and studied Tai Qi and Qi Gong in the Wudang Mountains.

Empathy, non judgment and active listening are central to my approach in the clinic. To help others I believe it is essential we first gain an understanding into their lives and how sensations and the world feels through their perceptions. I use Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Gua Sha, channel palpation and cupping therapies to support your healing journey and lifestyle. I also use electro-acupuncture and Electrical therapy through TENS pads.
